5-Hit Blitz by San Francisco's Beveridge Wednesday, September 28th , 2016 The San Francisco Peanuts stopped the Philadelphia Keystones by a score of 7-4 at Keystones Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Chris Beveridge. The 30-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Beveridge said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Beveridge did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Keystones. "Not much that I can say," offered Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Chris Beveridge hit a solo-shot off Wilfredo Maldonado in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Wilfredo Maldonado in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, was hit by a pitch in the 12th, singled in the 14th and doubled in the 16th.
