Season Ends for Huibert Zwiers of Detroit Wednesday, September 28th , 2016 Detroit fans will be disappointed to learn that Huibert Zwiers suffered a strained posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in today's game. After the doctor informed the Detroit Motors manager that Zwiers was expected to miss 4-5 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the center fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper. This season, Zwiers has hit at a .325 clip with 27 RBIs, 3 home runs and 33 runs scored. |
