Getting a good performance from center fielder Travis McCombs, the Denver Cutthroats defeated the Las Vegas Aces, 5-3. McCombs was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Cutthroats. Jonathan Benders picked up the save for Denver, his 2nd of the year. The loss drops Las Vegas to 8-2.

Kengo Miyake went 1-3 with 2 walks for Denver. The 2006 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Jack Scott. It was his 14th hit of the season.
