Sun Sox Fall Short, 8-7, at Detroit

The Detroit Motors and Miami Sun Sox completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Kris Honore, the Miami Sun Sox lost to the Detroit Motors, 8-7. Honore was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Manny Molina, now 6-3, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Jaiden LeFlore stitched up the save, his 4th.
In the bottom of the sixth, Remie Broers delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Detroit left fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Motors in front, 8-7.
"They beat us fair and square," Miami skipper Barry Lolicht said.
The Motors now own a record of 42-44.
