Diablos Thrill Fans with 2-1 Win
The El Paso Diablos eked out a 2-1 win versus the Chicago Union at Inferno Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Kevin Mooris. He was terrific. Mooris got the win, improving to 14-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 10 innings. He allowed 1 run. El Paso has won 7 straight, while Chicago has lost 3 in a row.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Union allowed the Diablos to score the winning run.

"Runs were at a premium," said El Paso manager Joe Peters.
