Josh Bruntlett never let St. Louis get something going. The Los Angeles right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Knights to a 6-0 win. The last-place Knights lifted their record to 34-47.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Drew Puentes? The 30-year old catcher Puentes stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-0. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Josh was really locked in," said Los Angeles manager Steve Finley.
