The rain came, as predicted, but the El Paso Diablos and Philadelphia Keystones were able to complete their ballgame.
The El Paso Diablos picked up a win at Keystones Stadium, defeating the Philadelphia Keystones, 4-2. Starting pitcher David Flores was an essential part of his team's success. The win hiked the El Paso record to 38-14.
The Diablos got a big at-bat from shortstop Eddie Martinez. For the game, Martinez went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave El Paso a 3-2 lead.
"David is a tough competitor," said El Paso manager Joe Peters.
