Philadelphia pitcher John Washington had a large part in his team subduing the El Paso Diablos, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Washington picked up the win for Philadelphia, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. Picking up his 10th save was fan favorite Kadidu Akinshegun.

Bill Garcia had a big run-scoring double for the Keystones in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Alex Johnson and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Keystones ahead, 2-0.

"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson.
