Shamrocks Get Dramatic 6-4 Triumph
Sam Kiser was locked in. The left-hander led the Boston Shamrocks to a 6-4 win against the St. Louis Lions at Shamrock Grounds. Chris Phillips, now 2-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on no hits in 1.1 innings. The 5th-place Shamrocks have won 4 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andy Ingersoll in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Christophe Georges to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Ingersoll.
