Thunder Dealt 4-3 Home Loss
|
The Thunder Bowl was the site of a competitive game between the Tampa Bay Thunder and Los Angeles Knights.
Behind the bravura of designated hitter Joe Higgins, the Los Angeles Knights topped the Tampa Bay Thunder by the score of 4-3. Higgins went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Knights. Luke Dickerson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 11 save opportunities.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Jason Fallon to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Knights on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Joe was ready to go. Big day for him," said Los Angeles manager Steve Finley.
Los Angeles goes to 31-43, Tampa Bay to 22-52.
