Miami Makes Chicago 9-2 Losers
Miami and Chicago took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Led by Bill Futrell, the Miami Sun Sox defeated the Chicago Union, 9-2. Futrell, a native of Spring, Texas, was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Sun Sox. Miami pitcher Josh Hensley got the win. He's now 7-8. Fidel Santiago was tagged with the loss.

Kris Honore was 1-2 for Miami. The 29-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Fidel Santiago. It was his 26th RBI of the season.

Said Chicago manager Ron Chiu: "They just got the better of us."

Miami goes to 32-40, Chicago to 33-39.
