Titans Deal Shamrocks 4-2 Loss
|
Shamrock Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Boston Shamrocks and Toronto Titans.
The Boston Shamrocks got a sterling performance from pitcher Abebaw Kiara, but the Toronto Titans still prevailed, 4-2. Kiara threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loss makes Boston 38-31.
Matthew McCormick delivered a big hit for Toronto. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Titans ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," McCormick told the Toronto Observer.
