Union Take Tight Tilt

In a low-scoring affair between the Chicago Union and the St. Louis Lions, pitcher Jean-Sébastien Bellot was the difference between victory and defeat. The Chicago right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Union win. Bellot yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 6-8. The Union improved their record to 29-35 by beating St. Louis.
Daniel Moss had a direct impact on the outcome. Moss contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.
