The Dallas Texans managed to get by the Boston Shamrocks, 4-3, at Shamrock Grounds. Dallas pitcher David Stewart set himself apart with his performance. The winning pitcher was Stewart, now 4-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Dave Swaney recorded the save for Dallas, his 2nd of the season.
Tyler Beanblossom, who finished 4th in the PBC in RBI with 75 in 2013, had a direct impact on the outcome. Beanblossom contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Dallas up, 2-0.
"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Wally Christensen.
The losses continue to mount for Boston, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
