Huhtanen Socks It to Pelicans, Cracks 5 Hits
No matter what the St. Petersburg Pelicans threw at him, Jussi Huhtanen hit it. He easily handled Pelicans pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Farmers triumph, 11-6, at Ballpark of St. Petersburg.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Huhtanen's quip, Pelicans skipper Jose Perez said he "would take him up on that next time."

Jussi Huhtanen singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

So far on the season, Huhtanen is hitting .293 with 5 home runs, 24 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 39 hits and played in 34 games.
