Takahito Takemoto helped his team muscle past the Los Angeles Knights, 4-2. In the game, the St. Louis third baseman was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Christophe Georges recorded the save for St. Louis, his 6th of the season. The Lions bumped their record to 16-14 with this latest triumph.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Takemoto hit a grand slam home run off Jorge Ramos. It propelled the Lions into the lead, 4-0.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said St. Louis manager Leo Cruz.
