Texans LF Carter has 4 hits in Win

The Dallas Texans bested the El Paso Diablos, 12-6, at Inferno Field. John Carter was one of the standouts. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. David Stewart went 5 innings for Dallas to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 6 runs. He scattered 9 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 3. His record improves to 2-3. The Texans now have a record of 8-18.
Kamar Jackson, who finished 3rd in the PBC in home runs with 22 last year, came through for Dallas with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 5 runs batted in.
Carter said, "Whether you hit the ball hard, you walk, you have a long at-bat, 10 or 12 pitches, or you hit a homer, you're just trying to do anything you can do to help the team win."
