Nagi Runs Hit String to 37 Straight Games Tuesday, September 22nd , 2015 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Jaivata Nagi did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at PBC Rookie Development Complex. For the last 37 games in a row, the 18-year-old third baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Philadelphia (R) Keystones beat the Detroit (R) Motors, 9-2. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Nagi told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Philadelphia (R) clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jaivata Nagi grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Stefan Eberharter in the 5th, walked in the 8th and struck out in the 8th. For the year, Nagi has hit at a .352 clip with 68 RBIs, 17 home runs and 67 runs scored. |
