Nagi Keeps Hit Streak Alive Sunday, September 20th , 2015 Win or lose, Jaivata Nagi just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 36 games. The Philadelphia (R) Keystones third baseman went 2-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 15-11, by the Denver (R) Cutthroats at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Jaivata Nagi grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Javier Martinez in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. This year, Nagi is hitting .353 with 117 hits, 16 home runs, 66 RBIs and has scored 66 runs. |
