Great Stroke: Ji Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, September 8th , 2015 All game long, Tampa Bay (R)'s Way-ming Ji was rattling the walls at PBC Rookie Development Complex and banging out base hits against the Dallas (R) Texans. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Thunder had a win, 10-9. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 17-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Way-ming Ji hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ambrosio Mirrado in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far on the season, Ji is hitting .300 with 9 home runs, 48 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 84 hits and played in 67 games. View Boxscore |
