McWhorter September's Best Hurler in ABC Thursday, October 1st , 2015 Brett McWhorter had an outstanding September -- so good that the Amateur Baseball Circuit presented him with the Pitcher of the Month Award earlier today. "There's no way to know where the Buccaneers would be without McWhorter," one fan is quoted as saying. In September McWhorter dominated the competition, running up a 4-0 record, a 1.59 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 39.2 innings. To date, McWhorter has a 8-3 mark in 17 starts with a 3.28 ERA. He has given up 99 hits in 101.2 innings, struck out 133 and issued 58 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .258 batting average against him. |
