Fernandez's Season Could be Over Friday, September 25th , 2015 The season is finished for Jose Fernandez of the New Orleans Buccaneers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Buccaneers left fielder suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing the ball in a recent game against the Oil City Oilers. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal. This year, Fernandez is batting .180 with 4 home runs. He has scored 7 runs and driven in 12. |
