20-Game Hitting Streak for Fletcher Tuesday, September 8th , 2015 The Manchester Monarchs fell to the Boston Battalion in Boston Field, even as 23-year-old third baseman Danny Fletcher upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Fletcher finished with 2 hits in 3 at-bats, but could not stop the Monarchs from dropping the 13-8 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Fletcher. Danny Fletcher singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd and hit an RBI single in the 4th. So far this year, Fletcher is hitting .321 with 6 home runs. |
