Albuquerque Shuts Out Pelicans, Loyola Winner Thursday, August 27th , 2015 Albuquerque Coyotes hurler Bernie Loyola was at his best as he beat the St. Petersburg Pelicans, 4-0. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said St. Petersburg manager Jose Perez. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Loyola, who is tied for 2nd in the with a 1.28 WHIP, fired a 5-hitter and totaled 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout performance. Loyola has posted a 9-4 record for the year with a 2.86 ERA.
