Hitting Streak Still Alive for Garcia Monday, August 3rd , 2015 Ron Garcia, first baseman for the Yuma Gnomes, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 6-3 victory over the Albuquerque Coyotes at Coyote Park. "Not the outcome we wanted," Albuquerque manager Anthony Whitaker said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Ron Garcia grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season, Garcia is hitting .360 with 6 home runs. |
