Garcia rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Liberty hurlers were throwing. "I think the Gnomes were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Manhattan fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Garcia in the postgame press interview. Ron Garcia singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI triple in the 11th.
