Catlett Gets Award for Relief Work Saturday, October 24th , 2015 Mark Catlett was a calming influence out of the El Paso Mavericks bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Amateur Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award for 2015. The Ogdensburg, New York native won the award with 12 saves in 36 relief appearances, 87 strikeouts in 57.2 innings and a record of 4-5 to go with his 1.25 ERA. He received 18 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jayson Lindsay of the Dallas Bulls finished second in voting, while Keith Shull of the Tulsa Twisters finished third.
