Franklin Beats Dallas in Amateur Circuit Cup Tuesday, October 13th , 2015 The Franklin Knights pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Amateur Circuit Cup in a hard-fought series with the Dallas Bulls. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 12-3 victory at Ballpark of Franklin, Franklin lay claim to the franchise's 1st championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Per Oliver. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 50-38 and claimed first place in the Amateur League Central Division. A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Franklin in the days to come. View Boxscore |
