There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.

Benito Morales is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the El Paso Mavericks at Ballpark of St. Petersburg. The monster effort from the 17-year-old first baseman helped the St. Petersburg Pelicans get the win, 11-8.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Mavericks manager Matt Reuben. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."

Benito Morales singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Steve Daniels in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

Morales's current batting average stands at .448 and he has chalked up 3 home runs and 11 RBIs.
