Okada 5-for-5 Against Boston (R) Monday, September 29th , 2014 Yoshitaro Okada was at the head of a Philadelphia (R) Keystones hit parade at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The 20-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Boston (R) Shamrocks that marched off with the 9-8 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Keystones skipper Danny Tovar following the game. "Yoshitaro did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Okada did more than fine, dominating the Shamrocks at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging catcher told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Yoshitaro Okada hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. This season in 83 games, Okada is batting .288 with 9 home runs, 51 RBIs and has scored 38 times. View Boxscore |
