Cutthroats Pitching Ravaged by Robbins Sunday, August 17th , 2014 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Jake Robbins is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Denver (R) Cutthroats at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The monster effort from the 19-year-old left fielder helped the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder get the win, 16-5. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Cutthroats manager Edwin Jimenes. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Jake Robbins singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
