Sessions 5-for-6 for Shamrocks Tuesday, August 12th , 2014 A jubilant Devin Sessions joined the postgame press conference at PBC Rookie Development Complex to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Dallas (R) Texans pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Boston (R) Shamrocks third baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 14-6 Shamrocks win. "He made it look easy," said Amir Fletcher, manager of the Texans. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Devin Sessions grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Chiel Postma in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season, Sessions has hit .343 with 4 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 50 games and scored 32 times. View Boxscore |
