Alarcon Socks It to Diablos, Cracks 7 Hits Tuesday, July 22nd , 2014 It was a sensational day at the plate for Roberto Alarcon as he led the charge to a nifty 23-6 win over the Diablos. The Boston (R) shortstop was pure misery for the El Paso (R) pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 7 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Alarcon put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Aaron Hoezee, manager for the Diablos, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Roberto Alarcon hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tony Alvarez in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Endre Jensen in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
