Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Announced Saturday, October 25th , 2014 Eddie Martinez was really special this season. You could feel the electricity in the air every time he took the mound for the Franklin Knights. Today he was honored by his selection as the 2014 Amateur Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award recipient. He started 20 games, logging 107.2 innings, 8 wins, 3 losses, 100 strikeouts and a 2.51 ERA. Martinez gave up 107 hits, while walking 35 and holding opponents to a .258 average. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 18. Jared Guy of the St. Petersburg Pelicans finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Yoshitoki Suga of the Houston Apollos finished third with 1 first place vote.
