Season-Ending Injury for Ajavindu Nagarjuna Monday, September 15th , 2014 The doctors have spoken and Ajavindu Nagarjuna of the Boston Battalion didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Nagarjuna sustained his season-ending injury during the Albuquerque Coyotes game yesterday at Boston Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Boston medical staff reported Nagarjuna had a broken kneecap and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. In his 2014 season totals, Nagarjuna has 5 home runs, .287 BA, .339 OBP, 21 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
