The End Is Here: Allan Tiefel Retires Thursday, August 28th , 2014 Allan Tiefel announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Manhattan Liberty organization. Tiefel, who is 37 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future. "I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all." Tiefel went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference. "I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said. Tiefel's lifetime ledger sheet looks like this: 152 appearances, 37 victories, 34 losses, 21 saves, 551 IP, and 574 strikeouts. He has an ERA of 4.03 and has allowed opposing hitters a .239 average. |
