Apollos Freemann Smacks 5 Hits Sunday, August 24th , 2014 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jay Freemann. The Houston Apollos third baseman tore up the St. Petersburg Pelicans to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Houston Park. The offensive onslaught from Freemann powered the 19-1 Apollos win. "Freemann was a tough out," St. Petersburg manager Jose Perez said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jay Freemann hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
