Dallas's Trosper to Miss Season Friday, August 15th , 2014 The doctors have spoken and Chris Trosper of the Dallas Bulls didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Trosper sustained his season-ending injury during the Providence Grays game yesterday at Dallas Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Dallas medical staff reported Trosper had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months. Trosper has made 12 starts, tossed 53 innings, struck out 57 batters and walked 36. His record is 1-6 with a 6.62 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .295 batting average. |
