Kruk Whacks 3 Out of the Park for Winnipeg Monday, August 25th , 2014 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Buffaloes-Aztecas game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Winnipeg second baseman Billy Kruk thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Winnipeg to a win, 11-2, over Mexico City. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Kruk said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Kruk, who is tied for 6th in the SPBC in total bases with 99, was 3-for-5 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Billy Kruk struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matthew Lindley in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off David Eglinton in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off David Eglinton in the 8th. This season, Kruk has hit at a .240 clip with 33 RBIs, 12 home runs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 60 games. |
