Albany-Sherbrooke Trade Confirmed Friday, December 12th , 2014 You can focus on the negatives after being traded to a new team -- finding a new place to stay, leaving teammates and friends, having to start anew -- but one player hopes to focus on the positives. "It means I'm wanted somewhere. At least one team sees potential in me." Those were the comments heard after the Albany Senators came to an agreement to deal 33-year old LF Lee Williams and 24-year old minor league RHP Kevin Cappola to the Sherbrooke Canadians for 37-year old 1B Dennis Ziemer earlier today. The deal is expected to be formally announced later this evening. In a career spanning 228 games, Williams has batted .242 with 197 hits, 30 home runs, 89 RBIs, and 102 runs scored. Looking at his career stats, Ziemer is batting .272 and has totaled 100 home runs. |
