Southern California, Detroit Agree to Swap Thursday, December 4th , 2014 Acknowledging that it may not be the biggest splash, the Empires announced today that they have acquired 31-year old LHP Kevin Meade from the Detroit Chargers in exchange for 34-year old 1B David Hood and $1,100 in cash. "Every little bit helps," announced the Empires, "this deal should improve both squads." In 138 career games Hood has hit .221 with 90 hits, 21 home runs, 62 RBIs and scored 58 runs. In his career, Meade has a 6-16 won-lost record with a 4.99 ERA. |
