Huge Year for Warriors Brown, Nabs Pitcher of the Year Award Sunday, November 9th , 2014 The Washington Warriors have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Mark Brown, this year's Professional Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Brown compiled a 17-3 record in 22 starts, tallied 183 strikeouts in 163.1 innings and recorded a 1.65 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .187 batting average against him. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 18. Ron Clous of the Washington Warriors finished second in voting, while Tim Keller of the Las Vegas Aces finished third with 1 first place vote.
