El Paso Defeats St. Louis Saturday, October 25th , 2014 The El Paso Diablos ignited a huge celebration as they beat the St. Louis Lions 1-0 to win the Pro Circuit Cup. El Paso won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 2nd time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said El Paso manager Joe Peters. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 59-29 and claimed first place in the West Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and center fielder Ryan Burton said the Diablos have "great fans and they deserve this." "I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
