Aces Move on to Cup Qualifier Sunday, October 5th , 2014 It was a sweet sweep for the Las Vegas Aces as they eased past the New York City Blues to advance to the Cup Qualifier. Las Vegas won the final game by a 4-3 count and the series 3-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Nate Essman, who was named series MVP. For the series, Essman hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs.
