San Francisco Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Saturday, September 20th , 2014 It wasn't meant to be for the San Francisco Peanuts this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Peanuts closer Alejandro Hernandez. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Peanuts have missed the playoffs 7 times in their 15 years as a Professional Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2010. San Francisco last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2007. |
