St. Louis, Philadelphia Make Trade Sunday, December 28th , 2014 The Lions announced today the acquisition of 29-year old minor league RHP David McGovern and 19-year old minor league LHP Josh Biggs from the Philadelphia Keystones in exchange for 31-year old LHP Zeke Smothers. "This isn't the biggest deal out there," acknowledged the Lions, "but it should help out both clubs." Smothers owns a 24-8 won-lost record with a 2.32 ERA for his career. In 120 games he has recorded 14 saves, and the 31-year-old has 198 strikeouts in 162.2 innings of work. |
