Behind an impressive start by Abebaw Kiara, Las Vegas beat Houston, 7-2. Chris Thompson was credited with the save for Las Vegas, his 2nd of the season. The win brings the Aces to 7-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Nick Starratt was at the plate when Las Vegas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Aces to go in front, 3-2.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Starratt told the Las Vegas Daily.
