Matthew McCormick knocked in 3 runs to help Washington beat Los Angeles, 9-6. The Arlington, Texas native tallied 1 single and 2 home runs. Sipi Remes, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 4. With their winning streak at 4, the Warriors have raced to a strong start this season.

Bob Luallen had a big grand slam home run for the Warriors in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Washington trailing 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Andrew Schumacher and swatted a home run to center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 6-3.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Luallen.
