Boston (R) third baseman Gustavo Ventura had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Houston (R) Mavericks at PBC Rookie Development Complex as the Shamrocks picked up a win, 13-7.

"He was patient up there," Boston (R) skipper David Carrillo told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Ventura has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
