The Los Angeles Knights and St. Louis Lions riveted fans at The Lions Hearth.

Jason Bardo knocked in 3 runs to help St. Louis beat Los Angeles, 12-5. Bardo produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Ricardo Santana, the winner, goes to 4-5. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits, with 5 walks and 11 strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

The Knights had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Lions going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old center fielder Mendel Ederveen came to the plate. Ederveen hit a 2-run triple on a 1-2 changeup from Los Angeles hurler Joe Rice. It was Ederveen's 1st triple of the year.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said St. Louis manager Leo Cruz.

St. Louis is second in the South Division with a record of 28-23.
